Private by design
Your input stays in the current browser tab. The parser does not send, save, or log the JSON you paste.
Lossless · Private · No sign-up
Parse, format, beautify, validate, minify, and view JSON online without silently changing 64-bit IDs, overflowing exponents, or duplicate keys. LiveParse keeps every number token intact and keeps your data in this tab.

Online JSON tool
LiveParse uses a lossless token parser in a browser worker. Numbers and duplicate object members are not converted into lossy JavaScript values, and nothing you paste is uploaded.
Loading the interactive JSON formatter…
Enable JavaScript to use formatting, validation, minification, and the tree viewer.
Quick start
Paste a JSON document or use Open file. Validation runs automatically and shows the first syntax error with its location.
Choose two or four spaces, then select Format for readable JSON or Minify for compact output.
Switch to Tree to explore nested values, or copy and download the formatted text.
For example, formatting {"id":9007199254740993,"amount":1.2300} adds indentation while keeping both 9007199254740993 and 1.2300 exactly as written. Duplicate keys are also preserved and flagged. Formatting checks JSON syntax; it does not validate an application schema.
All parsing and formatting runs in a browser worker. Pasted text and opened files stay in this tab.
The essentials
A JSON formatter—also called a JSON beautifier or pretty printer—adds consistent indentation and line breaks to compact JSON so people can read the structure. Formatting changes whitespace, not the intended objects, arrays, keys, or values.
A reliable formatter must parse and validate the input before rewriting it. LiveParse combines strict validation, lossless formatting, minification, syntax highlighting, and a searchable tree viewer. Unlike a native JavaScript round-trip, it keeps large number tokens and repeated object members exactly as written.

LiveParse validates strict JSON while preserving every number token and repeated object member. It warns before JavaScript could round an integer or turn an overflowing exponent into null.
Read compact payloads as highlighted text or search a virtualized tree that keeps the rendered page small even when the document is large.
When an error position is available, LiveParse converts it to a line and column so you can locate the first syntax problem.
Practical workflows
Confirm that the response is valid, inspect top-level keys, and follow nested data before changing application code.
Explore event types, IDs, and nested objects while keeping customer or integration data on your own device.
Format minified config, spot missing delimiters, and verify the final structure before deployment.
Remove indentation and line breaks when you need a smaller payload for a request, fixture, or environment variable.
Continue working with JSON
Choose the next tool for your document. Every tool processes the input in your browser.
Fix trailing commas, single quotes, or truncated JSON, review each proposed edit, then return here to format and validate the repaired document.
Compare two JSON files or API responses by parsed value, inspect changed paths, and distinguish formatting changes from data changes.
Validate newline-delimited JSON logs one record at a time, locate invalid lines, and inspect records without losing large numeric IDs.
Preserve a message ID as an exact JSON token, then convert it to its creation timestamp and regenerate all nine Discord formats.
Turn arrays of JSON records into CSV with explicit column selection and nested-value handling.
Find examples of missing commas, invalid quotes, trailing commas, and incomplete values with corrected JSON you can try.
Understand what parsing, syntax validation, and formatting check, and when your application also needs schema validation.
Questions answered
Yes. LiveParse is free to use, with no account, usage meter, or paid tier.
No. Parsing, formatting, minification, and tree rendering happen locally in your browser. Your input is held in the page's memory for the current tab and is not submitted to LiveParse.
A parser turns JSON text into structured values. A validator checks whether the syntax is legal. A formatter rewrites valid JSON with consistent whitespace. LiveParse combines all three in one tool. For a detailed comparison, read JSON parser vs. formatter vs. validator.
They are valid in some JavaScript contexts but not in standard JSON. LiveParse intentionally uses strict parsing so the result behaves like JSON consumed by browsers, APIs, and most programming languages.
LiveParse preserves every repeated member in its lossless tree and formatted output, and shows a warning with the duplicate location. Standard JSON Pointer and JSONPath expressions cannot uniquely address repeated names, so copied paths are marked as ambiguous.
Yes. Number tokens such as 9007199254740993 and 1e400 are stored and copied as text, never converted for output. LiveParse also warns when a value exceeds JavaScript's safe integer range, overflows a JavaScript number, or would change spelling during native reserialization.
Local processing reduces exposure, but you should still remove secrets when possible and follow your organization's data-handling rules. The page itself must load from the internet, but the JSON you paste is not transmitted by the tool.
